It's kind of sad that so many people put so much time and energy into this turkey.. A sputtering remake in need of a more powerful recharge.. The dirty jokes provide the funniest moments in this oddly sweet comedy about jokester highway patrolmen.. . Even by the sloppy, soulless standards of hit man movies, "The Mechanic" is a mess..
